Still Shopping...just not as much

Ladies,

Just as I started this blog, the American Economy took a nosedive as gas prices soared this summer. Yes, times are a little hard and shopping had to take a back seat to saving money to buy groceries and gallons of gas. But there are still deals to be had, place to shop. A Plus Sized Diva must always be a on the look out for a good deal, right?

Well, if you live in Douglasville, please visit a little shop called Una Vida Boutique (6706 Broad Street, Douglasville, GA 30134, 678-403-1033, unavida@bellsouth.net). Diane, the proprietor, is such a warm and friendly soul and you'll find that same feeling in her shop. She carries a limited supply of plus-size clothes for women along with purses, jewelry and other little treasures. She also has clothes for misses and some men's clothes too. You can find that one of kind purse to finish off your last outfit purchase and you can count on it not to break your bank account. One thing I like about this shop is that I know I won't see too many other people walking around in the same outfit or with the same purse.

Most important, the clothes are tasteful and trendy. A real treat if you like boutique shopping. Check out Una Vida Boutique today!

Home Base and Beyond

Fellow Plus Sized Fashionistas UNITE! I decided that I am no longer willing to accept the status quo on clothes offered to women who wear sizes 18 and up in my neighborhood. It's just too easy for two of us to show up at a function wearing the same outfit because we only have a couple of stores to shop in and even then the inventory is limited. There is so much more out there, we just need to find it and bring it closer to home.

I live in Douglasville, Georgia, a suburb outside of Atlanta. I'm on a mission to find wonderful plus-sized shopping opportunities in the Metro Atlanta area and beyond. Whether it's in a brick and mortar store or online, I want to share the love. All of us can reach our fashion potential if we work together.

Next time, I'll profile one of my favorite spots to shop in this area and let you know a great internet site to check out. In the meantime, share your favorite haunt and let me know what makes you a "Fashionista!"

Let's get it started!
